The Long Walk
04:01
|
|||
Grab his hand and we start to make our way
Leave behind everything we have
Nothing but the clothes on our backs
We are
We are the ones
Sweet smell of napalm in the night
Bonfires of corpses light the path
The grim journey up ahead
We are
We are the ones
The nameless swam
My feet are burning
But I find the will to carry on
I left my heart behind
Within the ruins of my home
I’m an empty shell
A Tragedy everyone ignores
Sleep tight, my son
Dream for us both
Dream about the home that we have lost
The days are getting worse
As we make our walk
Hope you’ll have the life that we were longing for
Instead of aid, they shut us out with barricades
Can you hear our screams?
Another stop in another town
Another night spent on the cold (hard) ground
Cold sending shivers down my spine
A reminder that I’m still alive
He falls asleep in my arms
A reminder that I’m still alive
One day, when I’m gone, take my son
To see his former home and leave a rose on the ground.
Sleep tight, my son
Dream for us both
Dream about the home that we have lost
The days are getting worse
As we make our walk
Hope you’ll have the life that we were longing for
Can’t you hear my heart?
It beats with anger
Can’t you hear my heart?
Beating loud. It beats so f*kin’ loud!

Remember
03:57
|
|||
Don’t wait , don’t waste
Your life in desperation!
Break free from this
conscious isolation!
Dream awake, open your eyes, and recognize a precious moment
before it passes by
Your life is now, so take that moment to see
All the colors of this world, fusing in one single grain
We live, we die, in the end we’re all the same
Take a deep breaths out of the life you have.
Remember there’s a lot more
Than what your eyes see, your hands hold
A whole world beyond these walls
Take a step outside and let it reach your soul
Don’t you feel that you’ve drifted?
Take control and face the current
Don’t you feel that you’ve drifted?
You crave and long for the worthless creations,
things you cannot have, you don’t even need.
Time’s passing by
You run still you’re not getting anywhere, just,
Circling around.
Do not go gently into the night
Rise against the dying of the light
A whole world beyond these walls
Take a step outside and let it reach your soul
We live, we die, in the end we’re all the same
Take a deep breaths out of the life you have.

You're Not Welcome
03:46
|
|||
Anemic daybreak
Can’t breathe this air, filled with frustrations, soaked in despair
People hurt one another for reasons unknown;
Dogs will be dogs
Looking for bones
I won’t let you paint these streets with violence anymore
This is my home
I would swim the oceans
I would give all I have
To cure this illness
Downfall of men
I would cross that desert
Tread to hell and back
to find a way to change
Zeroes to heroes,
Sorrow to faith
Take a look in the mirror
Maybe you’ll find
The enemy you’ve been looking for
All of this time
We stem from the same root but bloom in different ways
You’re hacking the branch
On which we all stand
Can’t you see that you’ve caused damage well beyond repair
What have you done?
I had enough
You’ve gone too far
This is where I draw the line
Hostile and senseless
You’re not welcome
Hateful and callous
You’re no welcome here
(People are free to choose
People are free to be different
We shouldn’t be afraid of the change
We should embrace it and celebrate it
Other’s happiness can help you attain yours more than their misery would
So, cherish this life you have,
Don’t be a mindless fool,
Help others prosper and you will, too.)
I would swim the oceans
I would give all I have
To cure this illness
Downfall of men
I would cross that desert
Tread to hell and back
to find a way to change
Zeroes to heroes,
Sorrow to faith.

No Harm's Done
05:01
|
|||
The clock is ticking; but the time stands still in dark
What if we let our demons to speak on our behalf?
Deep in the shadows of our troubled mind are lies
and the worst fear of all - the sound of goodbye
All questions remain just echoes in the night, no harm's done, no harm’s done
I hold your hand tight but we are going down, running from the light, running from the light
And nothing can stop me from building this home again
And nothing can stop me from ruining everything
The time dissolves the guise, the truth burns like a flare,
through the bursting light I see you and I want you next to me
Still one single thought turns it all to black
Even though we’re close, the shore is miles away
We walk between love and hate, foolish and aware
Feelings you expect from me, I know I can’t attain
I am a crook and a coward; sorry for the things I’ve done wrong
Tried to warn you, but somehow you knew it all along
All questions remain just echoes in the night, no harm's done, no harm’s done
Maybe after we drown we wake up in the place where all of this began, all of this began
And nothing can stop me from building this home again
And nothing can stop me from ruining everything
The time dissolves the guise, the truth burns like a flare,
through the bursting light I see you and I want you next to me
Still one single thought turns it all to black
Even though we’re close, the shore is miles away
